Skin care can be a difficult thing at any time of the year, but many people have a much harder time keeping their skin healthy during the colder months of the year. After a person’s body has been hydrated and the air around them is moist again, it is important to move on and treat the skin first hand. Most people tend to want to moisturize on their first instinct, however it is important to exfoliate first to remove the dry and dead skin that’s on the surface. Afterwards, moisturizing is the next important step—it is just important to remember to exfoliate first, otherwise there is no point in moisturizing the dead surface skin.

On top of exfoliating, moisturizing, hydrating and humidifying, there are other things that can be done. These four things will get a person’s skin back to being healthy and clear, but some products can go above and beyond just healing dried out winter skin.

- Add a bit of oil to the bath at night and soak, allowing the skin to relax, rest, and replenish the nutrients that it needs.
These are just a few things that people have done to help get their skin healthy again and to keep it that way.
